Baixe o arquivo de http://earth.google.com/ . Depois de terminado o download, abra um console e primeiro mude para a pasta onde o arquivo .bin foi baixado. Mude para root e depois digite no console:
cd /<diretório onde está p googleearth> chmod +x GoogleEarthLinux.bin ./GoogleEarthLinux.bin

The solution is to download the package at [1] and to rename it as libGL.so.1. The package should be placed in the Google Earth directory. The default location is /opt/google-earth/
As soon as I put the libGL.so.1 in the Google Earth directory, GE worked.
